After an amazing few years Lis Sarroca continues to fire on all cylinders in 2022, and is taking her Maai Records imprint with her. Marking the third release on the label is a classy two tracker from the Barcelona based talent, within the “Driven” EP you can expect premium shades of breakbeat, house and electro spread across the pair of tracks.

Opening track “Driven” sees Sarroca in her element, the six minute trip boasts dynamite broken drums, taking the lead with the killer groove of the track. A track constructed with peak time dance floor moments in mind. The tenacity of the track is strong, but Lis manages to breathe her deep and emotive sound into this, creating an eccentric experience from start to finish.

With a slightly more ravey edge is “3000”, the dusty drum patterns are teased by a nostalgic UK vocal sample, reminiscent of the illegal rave heydays. Maintaining this theme, ‘90s-esque rave beeps flash in and out as the track progresses, leaving the dance floor in a frenzy.
